Toscana IGT Vermentino

The Viale dei Pini, once the Viale Serristori, is a legacy landscape of inestimable beauty, custodian of the Vermentino vineyards. The maratime pine symbolises generosity and gentleness, thanks to its ability to respect the flowers and plants that flourish in its shade.

Vermentino is the sound of the waves, repetitively, endlessly calming the senses, enclosed in a bottle of wine. It is the quiet between two poles, crisp acidity and silky smoothness, a gift for summertime evening relaxation. The relief gifted by the crisp, straightforward sip that summons up a memory of the sea, of hearing its waves in that spiral conch. And it is suddenly a dawn, the sky, a sunset in the Viale dei Pini.

2024 Growing Season

The 2024 vintage was a challenging one, marked by a rainy spring and intense heat at the end of July. This year, more than ever, the timeliness of our decisions and the adaptability of our terroirs proved essential in bringing out the full potential of the grapes.
A mild, rainy winter (550 mm of rainfall up to April) encouraged early budding, while the spring rains slowed down the vegetative cycle. The May flowering ensured well‑aerated clusters and an even ripening.
After a rainy May and an unsettled June, a dry spell (from June 13 to September 8) induced moderate water stress, more noticeable in mid‑August. The 80 mm of rain in early September rehydrated the vines without affecting their health, and the fair weather between September 10 and 22 allowed the grapes to reach optimal ripeness.

2024 Harvest Notes

On September 5th, the harvest began in the vineyards near Viale Dei Pini, where the Vermentino grapes destined for Eco di Mare were carefully picked. This vintage led to a Vermentino of remarkable expression, defined by its refined aromatics and distinctive minerality. Its vibrant freshness and well-balanced acidity enhance the authenticity of the variety, creating a wine with a strong identity and unmistakable character.
